Finished and Unfinished Art By Cartoonist/Illustrator Len Peralta
This week is a very big week for my art! If you’re heading to #SDCC this week, be sure you visit Michael J Wolf Fine Art Gallery for the #ArtOfTheGeek exhibit. I’m one of 14 artists who will be exhibiting work during the event. I have created a Game of Thrones print EXCLUSIVELY for the show, and for the first time I have my limited edition Breaking Bad piece for sale. You’ll also be able to see my Worf Vs. Chewbacca piece that was created for a Hollywood Comic Con party this year. The show opens on the 23rd and runs until the 27th. The gallery is in the heart of the Gaslamp district, so it’s very easy to find. Check it out and maybe pick up a piece for your home!
I’m participating in a Batman 75th Anniversary art show happening at my local comic shop Carol and John’s Comics on July 26th. Here is a look at my piece! There will be one original giclee available and also prints available for sale. I’m honored to be asked to be a part of the show!
Tonight, Mike Neumann, Kris Straub and I announced a new comic project we’ve been working on for the past few months. It’s called Exterminite and it is phenomenal. We’ve almost got issue 1 put to bed and I’m just going to put this out there: It’s some of the best comic work I’ve done so far. I’m really excited for everyone to see it.
So I’ve started doing speed drawing videos again. I did over 700 of them from 2007-2012 and I took a break. Since then, the technology has changed and I am able to share my process in a much easier way.
This is a speed drawing video for a client. Elapsed time was a little over 2 hours. I was able to condense it down to 5 minutes. I’m thinking of doing more of these and bulk up my channel again. If you like it, please consider subscribing. I’ll post more as I do them.
Character design for a new secret project I’m collaborating with Mikey Neumann and Kris Straub on. (BTW, I just peed a little writing that last sentence.) I did pencils and inks. Kris did flats. Mikey did effects. We’re hoping to show more in June-ish. For now, here’s just a little teaser.
